SCULPTURE

I am currently making sculpture and jewelry that questions the value of my own labor.  What is one man’s time worth?  How skilled must one be to warrant a higher rate of pay?  I have chosen to work with materials due to their inherent history in toil.  Drywall screws are synonymous with housing construction and blue-collar labor; money is the award for these hours of physical labor and sweat.  I love to create, to play in my studio, to push the boundaries of my materials and my hands.  It is this love of manual creation that has not only fueled my quest for precision but has also been the basis of my conceptual explorations.
