The Buffalo Nickel Locket is a handmade hinged container entirely made out of vintage US buffalo or Indian head nickels. The United States Mint first produced these coins from 1938 to 1938, the coin was designed by James Earle Fraser, a well-known sculptor and engraver. The chain is solid oxidized sterling silver and measures 28 inches in length. There is no clasp, it slips over the head.
