The Liberty Dime M.I.A. Bracelet is a truly unique chained bracelet entirely fabricated from hand sawn Liberty dimes, minted in the US from 1916-45. Each coin is hand sawn with a jeweler's saw, cut open, chained together and resoldered closed. The clasp is made with the positive heads of the missing cutouts and a perfectly fitting oval. The silver Liberty dime was designed by Adolph Weinman and also referred to as the Winged Liberty Head dime, it gained its common name because the obverse depiction of a young Liberty, identifiable by her winged Phrygian cap, was confused with the Roman god Mercury. This bracelet is 8 and a half inches in length and fits an average size wrist... it can be adjusted in length upon request.
